Dr. Kayla Westhusing

Dr. Kayla Westhusing

Dr. Kayla Campbell Westhusing was born and raised in Maggie Valley, North Carolina. She graduated from Tuscola High School. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill majoring in Chemistry. She received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from East Carolina University where she graduated with honors. After dental school, Dr. Westhusing completed a residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry through East Carolina School of Dental Medicine. She is trained in all aspects of general dentistry with an emphasis in prosthodontics and implant dentistry. In her free time, Dr. Westhusing enjoys spending time with her family and outdoor activities including hiking and jogging.
Dr. Bodnar

Dr. Jason Bodnar

Dr. Jason Bodnar received his undergrad at Pittsburg University and went on to Nova Southeastern University for his degree in Dental Medicine. He has been with Cataloochee Dental Group since 2005. He practices at all four of our awesome locations in his tireless pursuit of building a life resume that will even have the gravedigger sad to see him go. Dr. Bodnar is energetic and very active. He is an avid runner, competing in many marathons including the Boston Marathon. You can catch him in any of our locations injecting his passion for helping others get the smile they deserve.

Dr. Colby Godwin

Growing up in the small town of Kenly, NC, Dr. Godwin has a love and appreciation for the people and culture of North Carolina. He completed his undergraduate degree at East Carolina University, majoring in Biochemistry and graduating with honors. Afterwards, he attended dental school at East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Godwin went on to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at East Carolina University as well, completing the program with Distinction honors. Dr. Godwin enjoys spending as much time outdoors as possible, whether hiking, kayaking, or exploring a new place. Despite his lean stature, he is a keen foodie and enjoys cooking and exploring all the great food Western NC has to offer.

Amanda

Amanda

Amanda is one of our Dental Assistants. She has been an assistant for over 15 years. She takes pride in creating a relationship with her patients to make them feel more comfortable in the chair.  Amanda is married and has two kids she loves spending her time with. She loves traveling to new places, but the beach is her favorite. Amanda is a sport enthusiast and loves photography.
Caroline

Caroline

Caroline is a graduate from Asheville-Buncombe Community College where she earned her certificate in Dental Assisting, and then a degree in Applied Science Dental Hygiene. Since then she has been passionate about serving patients in the community she grew up in. She is currently pursuing her Bachelors of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene at East Tennessee State University.

When Caroline is not in the office she can be found somewhere on a mountainside. Living in the mountains provides plenty of local opportunities she enjoys. In the summer she spends time with her family at the lake or camping.

Caroline's favorite part about being a dental hygienist is developing relationships with her patients and learning more about them. She believes dental health can be life-changing and is critical to overall health.
Jessica

Jessica

Jessica is our front Office Coordinator. She is a native to Candler, and she is married to her husband, Drew. She has two daughters, Kinlee and Saylor. She loves going to Clemson football games and spending time with her family. Jessica loves anything outdoors and working out. She loves to travel to new places and loves the lake.
Jordan

Jordan

Jordan is one of our Hygienists. She has worked with us since 2015, and has had many job titles. Jordan has had many titles from front office assistant, treatment plan coordinator, dental assistant and now a hygienist.  Jordan recently married her best friend, Noah. She loves cats, mornings and being outside. Her favorite place to be is at her camper at the lake. Jordan loves music and singing in her church’s worship band.
Tiffany

Tiffany

Tiffany is one of our Dental Assistants. She joined us in the spring of 2020. She is a sweet and kind individual, and takes pride in making patients feel more confident in themselves and their smile. Tiffany is married to her husband, Gunner and has one fur baby, Stump. Her favorite place to be is at the lake. Tiffany’s hobbies include gardening, hiking, camping, hunting and fishing.
